Electrical Thermal Imaging Surveys
Our Cat 2 electrical thermographer can conduct non-contact testing for live, fixed wire panels, connections and distribution boards. We also survey tranformers, converters, solar panels and electric motors. Typical faults we find, using thermal imaging, are loose and damaged cables, unbalanced and overloaded circuits and faults that create heat, resulting in increased energy usage and fire risk.
Electrical
Electrical thermography allows for inspection of fixed live installations. This allows fault detection such as poor connections, unbalanced loads and overloaded circuits, which are hard to find when the system is not running. Because the installation is imaged while operating, there is not loss of operation or downtime.

Motors & Machinery
Thermal imaging is beneficial for monitoring motors, fans, pumps and anything with moving parts. As parts degrade or become misaligned or incorrectly lubricated, friction increases, causing a local temperature rise detectable by a thermal camera.
Our Cat 2 thermographer can analyse images for both fault finding and providing baseline images for newly installed or serviced equipment. Thermal imaging is especially useful for condition monitoring and tracking the health of your machinery and how fast it deviates from the baseline over time.
